BMW Car Audio — Common Questions
What's the best sound system for a BMW?
It depends on how far you want to take it. Our four packages range from the Grouse — a Match DSP amplifier and under-seat subwoofer that keeps your factory speakers — through a complete Match system in the Cypress, up to the Double Black Diamond, a full Helix reference system. Pick your model and year in the finder and each build shows the exact gear engineered for it. Every level is vehicle-specific, fits the factory locations, and is calibrated on-site so it looks and works completely factory.
Will it keep the factory iDrive screen and all functions?
Yes. The Match system integrates with your BMW's factory iDrive and keeps every factory function working — the install stays completely stock-looking, just with far better sound.
Which brand do you use for BMW?
We build with Match and Helix — both made by Audiotec Fischer in Germany and engineered specifically for each BMW series. The Grouse and Cypress builds are Match; the Whistler steps the speakers up to Helix, and the Double Black Diamond is a full Helix system. Vehicle-specific amplifiers, speaker kits and subwoofers that fit the factory locations exactly.
Where does the subwoofer go in a BMW?
In the factory subwoofer location — the Match sub is built to fit where BMW's sits, so you get deep, tuneful bass with no lost trunk space and nothing on show.
Where can I get a BMW audio system installed near me?
Every build is designed, installed and tuned in-house at our North Vancouver shop, serving the North Shore, Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
