A JL Audio Stealthbox removes the trade. Each one is moulded for a single vehicle, following the contours of a footwell, a seat base, a quarter panel or a tailgate — dead space the vehicle was never using. It bolts to factory mounting points, so nothing is cut and nothing is permanent. From outside it is invisible; the first sign anything changed is the sound.

What exactly is a Stealthbox?
A subwoofer in an enclosure JL Audio moulds for one specific vehicle — it follows the contours of a footwell, a seat base or a quarter panel instead of sitting in the cargo area as a box. It bolts to factory points, so nothing is cut and nothing is permanent.

Will I lose cargo space?
No. That is the whole point of the design. The enclosure occupies dead space the vehicle was never using — under the rear seat, behind a trim panel, inside the tailgate — so the bed, boot or back seat stays exactly as useful as it was.

Do I need an amplifier as well?
Usually, yes. Most Stealthbox models are passive enclosures and need an amplifier to drive them, plus the wiring and integration to feed it a clean signal from your factory stereo. A few powered models have the amplifier built in. We confirm which yours needs with your quote.

Why have it professionally installed?
The enclosure is the easy part. Getting a clean signal out of a modern factory system, setting gains and crossovers so the sub blends rather than thumps, and routing power safely is what makes it sound like the vehicle came that way. We have been doing it on the North Shore since 1985.
