Mercedes-Benz Car Audio — Common Questions
What's the best sound system for a Mercedes-Benz?
It depends on how far you want to take it. Our four packages range from the Grouse — a plug-and-play Match DSP amplifier that keeps your factory speakers — through a complete Match system in the Cypress, up to the Double Black Diamond, a full Helix reference system. Pick your model and year in the finder to see the exact gear for each build. Every level fits the factory locations and is calibrated on-site, keeping the factory look and functions.
Will it keep the factory MBUX or COMAND screen and all functions?
Yes. The Match system plugs into your Mercedes' factory wiring and keeps the head unit, steering-wheel controls, voice control and every other factory function. The car looks stock, with far better sound.
Can you upgrade a Mercedes with Burmester?
On many models, yes — Match makes kits for Burmester-equipped cars as well as the standard system. Choose your sound system in the finder above: if a level isn't listed for your combination, Match doesn't make a kit for it, and we'll talk you through the alternatives.
Which brand do you use for Mercedes-Benz?
We build with Match and Helix — both made by Audiotec Fischer in Germany and engineered specifically for each Mercedes model. The Grouse and Cypress builds are Match; the Whistler steps the speakers up to Helix, and the Double Black Diamond is a full Helix system. Vehicle-specific amplifiers, speaker kits and subwoofers that fit the factory locations exactly.
Where does the bass go in a Mercedes?
Most current Mercedes models carry their bass drivers in the front footwells, built into the body behind the trim. The Match and Helix drivers go into those same factory locations, so you get deep, tuneful bass, keep your trunk space, and don't see any extra equipment.
Where can I get a Mercedes-Benz audio system installed near me?
Every build is designed, installed and tuned in-house at our North Vancouver shop, serving the North Shore, Vancouver and the Fraser Valley.
