This Lamborghini Gallardo came into our North Vancouver shop for an Apple CarPlay upgrade. We fitted a Kenwood touchscreen in the factory radio opening, keeping the original switch panel and climate controls in place.
The fit matters in a cabin like this. The receiver's black finish works with the centre console, while the chrome toggle switches remain just below the screen. It brings phone navigation and music into the dash without adding a separate display.

The new receiver sits above the Gallardo's original controls. The chrome toggle switches, hazard switch, ESC OFF button and climate controls are untouched and still work as before.
Maps, music and messages through Apple CarPlay
Apple CarPlay puts navigation and music from the owner's iPhone on the Kenwood touchscreen. Siri can read messages aloud and take dictated replies, so there's less reason to reach for the phone.
For this Gallardo, the upgrade changes the part of the dash used for those everyday tasks while keeping the surrounding controls familiar.
